The real work
An eco-contribution isn't calculated per product. It's calculated per product and per scheme, on a fee scale that changes every year. The same item often falls under two or three schemes at once, and the second one is almost always the one you forget.
A catalogue of two thousand products means two thousand qualifications to review every year. Today, this work is done by hand by your teams, or billed by the day by a consultancy. Either way it's slow, and either way it produces errors you only see at the time of an audit.
This is the work CompliancR takes on: qualifying each product, determining the correct fee scale for each PRO, declaring on your behalf. No external consultancy, no spreadsheet, no starting over every year.
What you pay
We apply the PROs' fee scales, we don't create any. Your eco-contribution remains due at the same amount as today, to the same recipient. What you pay CompliancR is for the calculation, registration and declaration.
So the point of comparison isn't your PRO invoice. It's the time your teams spend, every year, working out what you owe.
And the contribution itself, correctly built into your selling price, is passed on to the end customer. Exactly like VAT.
IF YOU SELL ON MARKETPLACES
Without UINs, French marketplaces have been required since the AGEC law of 2022 to declare and pay eco-contributions on your behalf. They then charge these back to you, adding commissions and handling fees.
Once you provide your UINs, they stop charging fees: you declare and pay directly, at the fee scale amount, with no intermediary. The UIN is also the first check marketplaces run before creating your seller account, or before delisting you if your UINs are revoked.

Free
You test up to ten products and discover the schemes and eco-contribution costs that apply to you. When you create your account, these ten products are already in your catalogue.

€90 per scheme, one-off
You sign a mandate (power of attorney, POA) that designates AlgoREP as your authorised representative. We register your company with the producer responsibility organisations (PROs), obtain your EPR unique identification numbers (UINs) and forward them to partner marketplaces. No action needed on your part.

1 credit per product
Eco-contribution calculated per product and per EPR scheme, with the fee scale code needed for the declaration. You buy the credits you need, when you need them. The ten products in the test are free.

3% of eco-contributions, minimum €120 per EPR scheme
Amounts determined, certified declarations submitted, PRO invoices paid on your behalf. You keep sole responsibility for the quantities you place on the market.
A credit is consumed in two cases only: adding a product to the catalogue, and updating the quantities placed on the market to prepare a declaration. The catalogue credit renews each year, because fee scales change.
PRODUCER NOT ESTABLISHED IN FRANCE
CompliancR is the authorised representative that manages your EPR compliance from start to finish.
Since French Law No. 2026-602, any producer not established in France must designate an authorised representative for each EPR scheme they are subject to.
This is no longer optional, it is a requirement.
AlgoREP, which publishes CompliancR, is an authorised EPR representative in France, registered across multiple schemes. You sign one written mandate, once. It covers the schemes you are exposed to, and we take over the obligations from there. Not five contracts with five organisations, no subsidiary, no local hiring.
Waiting to see whether the requirement is enforced is not a strategy: marketplaces move faster than regulators when their own exposure is at stake.
What producers ask
Your membership does not calculate your eco-contributions for you, it collects them. The work of qualifying each product per EPR scheme, the fee scale code to report, the quantities to consolidate before the declaration: you do that today. If you hand this task to us, you can focus fully on selling your products.
There is no minimum term. Signing up means filing declarations for the current year, so the horizon is one year by design. After that you can leave whenever you want, and your UINs remain yours: they are attached to your company, not to your service provider.
Our algorithms do not work magic. Like a human expert, they need a minimum amount of information: a label, a weight, ideally an image. A "wall mount" could be a photo frame, a shelf or a television depending on what the image shows. When data is missing, we ask you for it rather than guess.
When we prepare your declarations, we commit contractually to the validity of the fee scales applied. We support you if a producer responsibility organisation audits you.
Two things, in this order. Delisting by marketplaces, which check UINs because their own liability is at stake. Then removal of the UIN by the producer responsibility organisation in case of missing declarations or unpaid eco-contributions. This removal is final: a removed UIN cannot be reactivated, you need a full re-registration from scratch.
